South Coast based photographer, Lexi Laine, specialises in the creation of ethereal underwater scenes shot in unique locations around the world. Having trained as a freediver, she eschews scuba equipment but instead captures her images on a single breath hold. Lexi’s work reflects the human impact on the marine environment and she is influenced by 17th and 18th century Baroque painting, fantasy and folklore. Lexi studied BA ( Hons) Fine Art at the University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury and has won several prizes for her work including in 2020, first prize in photography in the Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize.
