The artist says "painting a 'champagne bar' has been an idea I have been wanting to create for a while and a number of friends, neighbours and local champagne bars to me in Brighton have enabled me to collect these bottles that caught my eye. The colours are a very pale ballet shoe pink, which reminds me of my young ballet days and a nod to the theatre. The greens are translucent, lush and luminous. The original painting is 95x95cm which has sold, and it is also 2 limited edition prints, here is the 40cm x 40cm large print.
Pam Glew, co-curator of Paxton + Glew, is a mixed media painter. She has shown internationally in solo shows from London to Sydney and has exhibited at Dallas Contemporary and Honolulu Museum of Art.
