Wooden house necklace with a Midcentury Modern design.
Ever since Tiny Scenic’s trip to Palm Springs, they have become obsessed with the design details of Midcentury modern homes. This wooden Palms Springs style house necklace is a definite conversation starter – playful yet stylish and the next best thing to owning a midcentury modern pad of your own.
Each necklace is very carefully and precisely assembled by hand from eight individual pieces, and then lovingly finished to give a beautiful final product. The right side of the house protrudes slightly and the windows are recessed, which gives depth and that elegant, modernist look. The house stands up by itself so when you’re not wearing it it doubles as a charming miniature ornament.
Part hand-cut, part laser-cut; each necklace is made from a combination of walnut, birch plywood, white styrene and subtly textured laminate in a semi-matt finish. The house is 6cm/2.36” wide and 2.3cm/0.9” tall. It hangs from an attractive silver-plated trace chain, which is approximately 45cm/18” long.
The necklace has three coats of water-based matt varnish for protection, however, as this item is predominately made from wood please never wear it in water. Nor do we recommend you leave it in direct sunlight for long periods.
This house is a lilac fronted house.
