This iconic architecture of the La Concha Motel in Las Vegas, was captured by Richard Heeps for his 'Dream in Colour' series, before its closure in 2004. Designed by Paul Williams, it is synonymous of the Googie style architecture popular in America during the 1950s and 1960s. The lobby is now preserved at the Las Vegas Neon Museum.
Richard Heeps shoots on film and develops his limited edition prints in his own darkroom. Known for the saturated colours he achieves, his cinematic landscapes, quirky still lifes, and travel photographs are accomplished and atmospheric.
