Amy Gardner is an Australian born, London based multi media artist, best known for her bold use of colour and uplifting images. The driving force behind her work is celebrating womanhood, the power of women supporting women, and respectfully nodding to the movement and ‘history of effort’ gifted to us from generations of women before us.
‘For me, she's about those moments in life, when you need to take that leap or jump, quitting the job to go out on your own, ending the marriage, leaving for the trip, whatever it is.. it's about that bravery needed to make the jump, take the leap, and trusting that you'll land just fine. The woman in the image is Mitzi Gaynor, she's incredible. She was (and is) an utter pocket rocket of joy and was known for her incredible energy. She recently turned 90, she's an utter babe.’
